FIELD DAY JUNE 22-23

ARRL Field Day will be held June 22-23 and everyone is invited to attend at the Nacogdoches City/County EOC. We will start with breakfast at IHOP at 8:00, and then go out to the EOC to begin equipment setup.

Field Day will actually begin at 1:00 p.m. which gives us all time for a quick lunch then back to the EOC to begin operating. We plan to have 3 HF stations setup and a digital capable VHF station as well. All HF stations will be Flex radios; a 6400 for FT8 digital, a 6600 for SSB voice, and a 6700 for CW. The VHF station is planned to operate Winlink.

Members and visitors are invited and encouraged to operate any of the stations under the auspices of an Extra Class operator.

Drinks and snacks will be provided as well as dinner Saturday evening and breakfast Sunday morning. If you plan to stay for dinner and/or breakfast, please let us know so we can have sufficient food available.

Operation right through Saturday night and early Sunday morning is planned. We hope to continue to operate Sunday until everyone is tired or our time expires at 1:00. We really need your help in disconnecting all of the radio equipment and removing all antennas and feedlines.

SOMETHING NEW THIS YEAR: We plan to have a mini-tailgate sale for ham radio equipment and accessories. Have something to sell? Bring it out.

Please come join us for Field Day.
