ARRL Field Day is always the last full weekend in June, which this year is June 25-26. NARC is planning a major push for Field Day this year, and you are invited. Everyone is invited…. individuals, families, youngsters, with a ham license, without a ham license…. Everyone is invited.

We plan to start the day Saturday with breakfast at IHOP at 8:00, then out to the Nacogdoches City/County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 9:00. We will put up antennas, hook up radios, and set up computers to get ready for the official start time of 1:00 p.m.

We plan to have 3 complete HF stations on the air, one each dedicated to digital, SSB, and CW. Visitors are welcome to operate one of radios under the supervision of a licensed ham. We will have knowledgeable folks on hand to provide instruction as needed.

We will also have a VHF station to provide both voice and digital (Winlink) communication during the event.

We plan to operate as late as possible Saturday night, straight through the night if possible. Dinner (pizza) will be provided Saturday along with breakfast early Sunday morning. We normally start running out of steam later Sunday morning, when we break everything down and pack it up until needed again.

Come join us.
